. The DFX12 is a twelve-channel mixer designed for live sound applications. It has an extensive feature set that belies its compact size, including a stereo graphic equalizer and built-in digital effects. The built-in EMAC 32-bit digital effects processor was custom designed by our digital engineers and rivals the sound of many high quality outboard processors. .Like all of Mackies mixers, the DFX12 is designed for rugged, day-in and day-out road use. Its sturdy-yet-light steel monocoque construction houses rugged, doublesided SMT-plated fibreglass circuit boards, and 60 mm faders with ultra-tight lip seals for keeping out dust and other contaminants. Impact-resistant knobs are mounted so they ride just above the steel chassisthey absorb impact without trouble. Furthermore, theyre designed to last, thanks to co-moulded potentiometers that do not get brittle and crack up. . The DFX12 has four mono mic/line channels, two mono-mic/stereo-line input channels and two stereoline input channels. The mono mic/line channels have unbalanced inserts and 75 Hz low-cut filters, while all channels have a 2-band EQ, one external monitor send, one internal/external effects send, pan, mute, and a 60 mm log-taper fader. . Outputs on the DFX12 include XLR and TRS balanced/unbalanced main outputs, RCA tape outputs, and two TRS balanced/unbalanced aux sends. . The EMAC Digital Effects section includes two controls. AUX 2 regulates the signal level being sent to the EMAC effects processor from an individual channels strips AUX 2 EFX send. The overall level is monitored by the LEVEL SET LED to prevent overload. The EFFECTS TO STAGE MONITOR knob lets you add effects to stage monitor mixes independently of the EFX levels added to the main mix. The Preset selector is used to pick which effect you want. An EFX Footswitch jack is provided to bypass the EMAC effects.
